ARE WE AS HAPPILY MARRIED as Americans were 20 years ago? According to Alan Booth, Penn State
professor of Human Development and Sociology, the answer is YES. Levels of marital satisfaction in
his research with couples in 1980 and in 2000 were similar.
Of course every relationship takes work and sometimes we benefit from the help of professionals in
figuring out strategies that help us through challenges with others.

HELP FOR CYBERSEX ADDICTION. Although online compulsive sexual behavior is an ever-increasing problem,
there are specific treatment approaches that can help. Both behavioral and psychodynamic changes are necessary to be able
to manage and alter the undesired behaviors. "Cybersex Unhooked", by David Delmonico & Elizabeth Griffin, is a self-help
workbook that looks at the issues involved in changing online sexual compulsive behavior. Therapists who have experience and
training in this special area of internet addiction can help individuals, couples, and families find their way through the
pain of cybersex and toward effective healing and change.

WE ALL KNOW DRIVING IS SAFEST WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS like drinking coffee or talking on the cell phone;
a recent study indicates that even deep thoughts can put us at risk while driving! New research shows
that what's going on inside one's head can be just as distracting as what's going on outside. Psychologists Miguel Angel
Recarte Goldarecena and Luis Migues Nunes Gonzalez have shown that performing complex mental tasks can reduce a driver's visual
detection ability by up to 30% and interfere with concentration. When we're distracted we may still know HOW to
drive but we may not see things well or fast enough to use our skills. With all the stress of commuting, traffic,
and our busy lives, it makes sense to deliberately keep our mind at ease while driving!
